Roger Waters
Musical Director and Conductor
Mr. Waters earned his Bachelor and Master of Music Degrees from Georgia State University, and has done post-graduate studies in choral conducting and vocal performance at the University of Georgia. He served as Assistant Conductor of the Georgia State University Concert Choir ('70-'73) and assistant to the director of the University of Georgia men's Glee Club ('85-'87). Roger is listed in the 1981 and 1983 editions of Outstanding Young Men of America; the 2002 edition of Who's Who in America; the 2004 edition of Who's Who in the World; and the 2004 edition of One Thousand Great Americans published by the International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England. He resides in Conyers, GA with his wife, Sandra. They have a son, daughter, and six grandchildren.
Steve Traylor
Assistant Director
Mr. Traylor was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. Steve received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University in 1979. He began full-time music ministry in 1988, and joined the staff at Oxford Baptist Church in February of 2005 as the Music and Education Director. In addition to directing the Celebration Choir, Steve also serves as Church Administrator and coordinates the Senior Adult Ministries. Steve is a gifted pianist and enjoys singing. He became a performing member of the Guild in the Fall of 1996 and currently serves as Chair and Treasurer on the CCCG Board of Directors.
Michael Davis
Accompanist
Mr. Davis has served as accompanist since August 2017. He studied Music Education and Piano Performance at Georgia State University. Mike taught for many years at Newton High School prior to his retirement. In addition, he has served many area churches as Music Director/Organist/Pianist. He currently serves as pianist at First Baptist Church of Covington. He resides in Covington, GA.
